The Kansteinhütte is our simple self-catering accommodation for hikers and climbers on the low mountain ridge of the Thüster Berg. It is available to all members of the German Alpine Club, reciprocal clubs, and non-members. Built by climbers over 50 years ago, the Kansteinhütte still serves as an excellent "base camp" today for ambitious climbing tours in the limestone cliffs of the Thüster Berg, the Ith ridge, and the surrounding quarries.
